This weekend is highlighted by the Plastik Shuk, another of Tel Aviv’s annual fashion events. (Doesn’t it seem like they have one every weekend? Maybe because they do!) Anyway, this event started 2 years ago as a place for new, young designers to show their independent collections to an audience that wants to see innovative and indie fashions you might not find in the local mall. It happens pretty frequently. It happens once every 2 1/2 months. This one brings 55 new designers (and a few veterans, Hoki, Shushine have been there before…) offering fresh fashion for the Tel Aviv fashionista masses.
Anyway, I won’t be going into Plastik Shuk here, you’ll just have to read the next post to hear about the goods I scored and the designers I met! I went today, but it’s not over yet. You still have time to head over tomorrow to check out POLA RAXA, doberman, Inbal Shapira, and our favorite Rock or Die! 1/22 and 1/23 11:00-19:30, Kibbutz in the City, 4 Kaplan St., corner of Ibn Gvirol, Tel Aviv. http://www.telavivcity.com//pages/plastik11/main.htm
