Dress Code

I really regret not heading to the Dress Code event this past Shavuot (5/18-5/19) where 45 uber-chic Israeli designers like Maya Shalev, Rhus Ovata, Pioo Pioo Label, Anna K, Pola Raxa, and Shine showed off their latest pieces, shoes, jewelry, and accessories from their Summer 2010 collection at discounted prices.

Boy did I miss out!

Upon seeing photos from friend and fellow blogger Morgane of FashionSnake blog fame, I am suddenly coveting Ido Recanati’s trendy tanks that look to be the ultimate in mod street fashion.

While not all Israelis dress this way (many go for more feminine and flirty pieces courtesy of labels like Rhus Ovata, I feel that these two looks epitomize an Israeli hipster’s urban chic.)

In addition, the event saluted Israeli fashion pioneers with an exhibition of selected models, courtesy of one legendary designer and the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design.

Here’s what else I missed.
